Photoshop Print Margin / Bleed Confusion: Print मध्ये design कट का होतं?

Design screen वर perfect दिसतं…
पण print काढल्यावर —
बाजूने design कट झालेलं
border uneven
text कडेने गायब
आणि मग printer म्हणतो,
“Bleed दिलं नव्हतं”
Designer म्हणतो,
“Margin ठेवलं होतं”
👉 हाच आहे Print Margin & Bleed confusion.
हा problem printing, flex, pamphlet, visiting card, brochure अशा कामात
रोज येतो.
Print Margin म्हणजे काय?
Margin म्हणजे design च्या कडेला ठेवलेली safe space.

हे सगळं direct edge पासून आत ठेवायचं.
Simple rule:
👉 जे कापलं गेलं तरी चालणार नाही
ते margin च्या आत ठेवा.
Bleed म्हणजे काय?
Bleed म्हणजे design final size पेक्षा थोडं बाहेर वाढवणं.
Printing मध्ये:
Paper exact कापला जात नाही
थोडा फरक पडतो
म्हणून background color / image
design च्या बाहेर extend करावी लागते.
👉 ह्यालाच Bleed म्हणतात.
Real-life Example (Daily Printing)
उदा.:
Visiting card size: 3.5 × 2 inch
Background full color
Text अगदी edge ला
Bleed नसेल तर:
Cutting मध्ये white line दिसते
Background uneven दिसतो
👉 Client complaint.
Print problem का येतो? (Main reasons)
1️⃣ Bleed दिलेला नसतो
Design exact size मध्ये बनवलेलं
मग cutting करताना edge miss होतो.
2️⃣ Margin ignore केला जातो
Text / logo कडेनेच ठेवलेलं
Cutting मध्ये थोडा फरक पडला
→ content गायब.
3️⃣ Printer & Designer coordination नसते
Printer वेगळं बोलतो
Designer वेगळं करतो.
Correct Print Setup (Photoshop मध्ये)
✅ Step 1: Canvas size proper ठेवा
Final size + bleed space
उदा.:
Final: 12 × 18 inch
Bleed: 0.25 inch each side
👉 Canvas: 12.5 × 18.5 inch
✅ Step 2: Guides वापरा
Margin guide (inside safe area)
Bleed guide (outside area)
👉 Visual clarity मिळते.
✅ Step 3: Background bleed पर्यंत extend करा
Color
Image
Texture
Bleed area पर्यंत नक्की जा.
✅ Step 4: Text & logo margin आत ठेवा
किमान 0.25–0.5 inch
Small prints साठी जास्त safe ठेवा
Common Designer Mistakes
Bleed म्हणजे extra margin समजणं
Text edge ला ठेवणं
Exact size मध्ये design देणं
Printer ला विचारून confirm न करणं
Simple Designer Rule (Follow करा)
